Install Cuetto
Download Cuetto from the download page, open the file and drag Cuetto into your Applications folder. Open it from there.
Cuetto needs macOS 15 Sequoia or later and rekordbox 7 on the same Mac. See system requirements.
Activate your license
On first launch, Cuetto asks you to activate it on this Mac. You have two options:
- Start Free: enter your email and click the link we send you. Cuetto activates by itself. No account, no password. The free plan applies 30 tracks a month to rekordbox.
- Enter License Key: for Cuetto Pro, Lifetime or a beta key. Your key is in the email from Cuetto.
A key works on two Macs at the same time. To move it, choose Deactivate This Mac in Settings → License on the old Mac. Lost your key? Get it by email again.
Load your library
Cuetto finds your rekordbox library on its own. It reads the same settings rekordbox uses, also when you moved your library. Click Load Library.
Cuetto reads a copy of your library. rekordbox stays unchanged, and you can load and tag while rekordbox is open. On a large library the first read takes a moment. Keep the window open until the deck shows up.
If your library lives somewhere else, choose its database in Settings → Library. If it is on an external drive, connect the drive and Cuetto picks it up by itself.
Setup Assistant
After the first read, the Setup Assistant walks you through five short steps:
- How Cuetto Works: every edit goes into the Change List first. rekordbox only changes when you apply.
- Analysis: a quick check of your library, run locally on your Mac.
- Your Library: your three biggest gaps, like missing artists or artwork.
- Set Up My Tags: pick a template for rekordbox’s four My Tag categories, or keep your own structure. Cuetto never overwrites existing tags unless you rename them yourself.
- Best Practices: short tips for a clean library.
You can skip any step. Open the assistant again anytime from the Help menu with Setup Assistant….
Deck tutorial
The first time you open the deck, a short tutorial shows the three moves: swipe right to keep, swipe left to sort out, and Later for tracks you are not sure about. Replay it from the Help menu with Deck Tutorial.
