Cuetto is a Mac app for tagging your DJ library one track at a time. You swipe through your tracks, listen, and add your own tags, rating, color, genre and playlists on a single card.

Everything you change is collected first. When you are ready, Cuetto writes it to your library in one step, with a backup made just before.

Download Cuetto, move it to your Applications folder and open it. Cuetto finds your library on its own by reading the same settings your DJ software uses.

A short setup assistant then explains how Cuetto works, scans your library, shows its health score and helps you set up your tags. After that you start swiping.

Download and first launch

No. The free plan works without an account or sign-up. If you buy Pro or Founder, you get a license key by email and enter it in the app.

Yes. The free companion app for iPhone and iPad connects to Cuetto on your Mac. At home on the same Wi-Fi this works on every plan. From anywhere else, you need Remote Access, which is part of Pro.

The companion is not a standalone app. Your Mac needs to be on with Cuetto running.

Cuetto works with the tag system your DJ software already has: four categories with up to 50 tags each. You can use our suggested setup, a minimal one, or your own. On the same card you set rating, color, genre and playlists.

Cuetto works with rekordbox 6 and rekordbox 7 libraries on macOS. Older libraries from rekordbox 5 and earlier are not supported.

If an update of your DJ software changes the library format, Cuetto tells you right away. You can keep tagging, and applying works again once you update Cuetto.

Yes, with the cloud providers your DJ software offers for library sync (Dropbox and Google Drive). After applying changes, open your DJ software on the same Mac first and let it finish syncing before you open the library on another computer. Cuetto reminds you when it detects cloud sync.

No. Tracks on external drives work like internal ones. macOS asks once for permission to access the drive.

Cuetto edits your main library, not the exported device library on a USB stick or SD card. After applying, export or sync to your stick again as usual and your tags come along.

Cuetto is built to make that very unlikely. Nothing changes in your library while you tag. Your changes wait in a list you can review, and they are only written when you click Apply.

Before every apply, Cuetto makes an automatic backup of your library. Cuetto also checks for conflicts, so it never overwrites something that changed in the meantime. If you don't like the result, undo the whole apply with one click.

Only one app should write to the library at a time. Cuetto checks that your DJ software is closed before it applies anything and waits if it is not. Reading and tagging work while it is open.

No. Your music and your library stay on your Mac. Cuetto never uploads your audio files or your library.

When you look up artwork or metadata online, Cuetto sends the artist and title of that track to public music databases to find a match. With Remote Access, audio previews stream from your Mac to your phone through our relay and are not stored there.

Only if you agree. The setup assistant asks once, with nothing preselected. If you say yes, Cuetto sends anonymous daily counters, like how many tracks were tagged. Never titles, artists, file paths or anything from your library. You can change your choice in Settings at any time.

Privacy policy

Remote Access lets your iPhone or iPad reach Cuetto on your Mac at home over the internet. Tag on the train, in a hotel or between flights, and your changes land on your Mac. Remote Access is part of Pro and Founder.

Your Mac opens an encrypted outgoing connection to our relay server. Your phone connects to the relay over HTTPS. Every request is signed with a key that only your paired devices have, and your Mac accepts nothing without a valid signature.

You don't need to open ports on your router. Your library stays on your Mac; the relay only passes requests and previews through.

A Pro or Founder license, your Mac awake with Cuetto running, and an internet connection on both ends.

Many guest, hotel and office networks keep devices from seeing each other. Use Remote Access there. A VPN on your Mac or phone can also hide the local network.

Unlimited tagging on your Mac and on iPhone or iPad at home, Library Health, backup and undo. Each month you can write 30 tracks to your library and look up artwork for 10 tracks. No time limit, no account.

A track counts once per month as soon as at least one change to it is applied, no matter how many fields you changed or how often you apply. Managing your tags (creating or renaming them) does not count.

The monthly limit is counted per Mac.

Nothing is lost. Your remaining changes stay in the list and you can apply them next month or right away with Pro.

In the free plan, applying needs an internet connection so Cuetto can count your tracks. Pro keeps working offline for up to 7 days.

Pro is a subscription: €5.99 per month or €39 per year. Founder is a one-time payment of €79 for Pro without a subscription, available only to the first 200 buyers. Remote Access on Founder is for one Mac and two phones or tablets (fair use).

On two Macs at the same time. You can free up a Mac in the app's settings to move your license to another one.

Your license stays valid. Enter your key again and you're set. Reinstalling on the same Mac does not use up a second activation.

You can cancel anytime. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. After that, Cuetto switches back to the free plan: tagging, applying within the free limit, backup and undo keep working, and Remote Access pauses.

Our online reseller Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle handles payment, invoices, VAT and refunds. Prices include VAT where applicable.

For a refund, contact Paddle through the link in your receipt email, or write to us. EU consumers also have the statutory right of withdrawal described in our terms.

Check that both are on the same Wi-Fi and that Local Network access is allowed for Cuetto on the Mac (System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network) and on the iPhone. If the macOS firewall is on, allow incoming connections for Cuetto. Turn off VPNs for a moment.

Most of the time your DJ software is still running. Quit it completely and try again. If your library format changed after an update of your DJ software, update Cuetto first.

Open your DJ software after applying, then export or sync your USB stick again. The player reads the exported device library, not your main library.

Yes. Every apply can be undone with one click, and Cuetto keeps a backup of your library from just before each apply.

Use Send Feedback in the Help menu on the Mac or in the settings on iPhone and iPad. Adding your email is optional and only used to get back to you.
