How it works
The Cuetto app for iPhone and iPad is a companion to Cuetto on your Mac. Your Mac reads your library. Your phone or tablet streams the tracks from it and sends tags, ratings and colors back to the Change List on your Mac. Your Mac needs to be on with Cuetto open.
Pair over Wi-Fi
- On your Mac, open Cuetto and choose Settings → iPhone & iPad. Turn on Enable Companion Server.
- Put your iPhone or iPad on the same Wi-Fi as your Mac.
- Open the Cuetto app and tap your Mac in the list. Your Mac shows a code, enter it on your device.
- Or tap Scan QR Code and scan the code from Settings → iPhone & iPad → Pair with QR Code… on your Mac.
Allow Local Network access for Cuetto when your Mac and your device ask. You pair once at home. After that, your device finds your Mac on its own.

One device tags at a time
Next to your Mac, one iPhone or iPad can tag at a time. This keeps two devices from changing the same tracks at once.
While your phone or tablet is tagging, the deck on your Mac pauses. Changes show up live in the Review tab. Click Continue Here on the Mac to tag there again.
Take Over
If another iPhone or iPad is tagging, your device shows Tagging on Another Device and pauses playback. Tap Take Over to continue on this device. The other device stops tagging right away. Changes it already sent are saved on your Mac.
Away from home
Pairing works on the same Wi-Fi only. To keep tagging on the train or in a hotel, use Remote Access.
Try it without a Mac
On the pairing screen, tap No Mac nearby? Explore the Demo. You get a sample library. Changes stay on your device and disappear when you exit the demo.
