My iPhone or iPad doesn’t find my Mac
- Open Cuetto on your Mac and keep it open.
- In Settings → iPhone & iPad on your Mac, check that Enable Companion Server is on.
- Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi.
- Allow Local Network access for Cuetto on the Mac (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network) and on your iPhone or iPad (Settings → Cuetto).
- If the macOS firewall is on, allow incoming connections for Cuetto.
- Turn off VPNs on both devices for a moment.
- Still nothing? Tap Scan QR Code and scan the code from Settings → iPhone & iPad → Pair with QR Code….
Guest, hotel and office networks often keep devices from seeing each other. Use Remote Access there.
“rekordbox 7 Needed”
Cuetto works with rekordbox 7. rekordbox 6 is not supported. If only rekordbox 6 is installed, Cuetto shows rekordbox 7 Needed and blocks Apply. You can keep tagging and your changes stay saved. Update rekordbox to version 7, then apply.
Apply is blocked because rekordbox is running
Only one app should write to your library at a time, so Cuetto only applies while rekordbox is closed. Quit rekordbox completely (rekordbox → Quit rekordbox) and try again.
If it still says rekordbox is running, wait a few seconds. With Cloud Library Sync, rekordbox can keep the library busy for a moment after quitting.
My changes don’t show up in rekordbox
- Changes reach rekordbox only after you apply. Until then they wait in the Change List.
- Apply only runs while rekordbox is closed.
- If rekordbox changed a value after Cuetto read your library, Cuetto skips that change as a conflict. Reload your library in Cuetto and set it again.
- Tracks whose audio file is missing get their tags in rekordbox, but not in the file.
- USB sticks and CDJs only get your changes after the next export or Sync Manager run in rekordbox.
- Still missing? Use Send Feedback… with Attach Diagnostics on. The report includes hints about likely causes.
macOS asks about the keychain after an update
Cuetto keeps your license in your Mac’s keychain as Cuetto License. After an update, macOS can ask whether Cuetto may use it. Enter your Mac login password and choose Always Allow. If you choose Deny, Cuetto can’t read your license and asks for your key again.
The first read takes long
The first time, Cuetto reads your whole collection. On a large library this takes a while, and the first launch after installing can be slower while macOS checks the app. Keep the window open.
If Cuetto says it is still starting up, click Try Again after a moment. If your library is on an external drive, make sure the drive is connected.
My tags don’t show up on the player
Open rekordbox after applying, then export or sync your USB stick again. The player reads the exported library, not your main library.
